In a recent Bain study of over 3,900 companies worldwide tracking their growth during and after the global financial meltdown, it was highlighted that there remained a stark difference between the growth posted by companies who thrived the downturn and those who couldn’t. In terms of numbers, winners posted a CAGR of 13% in the years after the recession while the losers struggled at 1%.The key differentiator for these outliers was what they did differently from the rest of the crowd during the recession.
